The spiritual teachers I have learned from and continue to learn from are my greatest treasure. Why? Because they have helped me manifest all that is good, they have helped me make sense out of all that is challenging, and perhaps most importantly, that have ignited the teacher within me.

I always love hearing stories about Yogi Bhajan in the early days when people were fawning all over him, asking him to bless and initiate them into his spiritual path. And he would say, no: I’m not here to create disciples, I’m here to create teachers.

This is a new way of leading by example, and it’s one we need to remember now.

I wonder where I would be without guidance from a spiritual teacher. I probably would have never left my old corporate job. I’d probably feel very lost during this time. I’d probably be deeply confused as to how everything can look so good on the outside and feel so empty on the inside.

Teachers have been my catalyst, my wake up call, and my North Star. They have helped me become more me - especially in these times of intense spiritual warfare.

Knowing how much personal benefit I’ve received from incredible teachers, it’s quite curious to me that many such leaders in various lineages are coming under attack right now.

That the wisdom keepers, the light bearers, and the frequency holders are being targeted by all sorts of interesting forces when they have have such positive impact.

But actually, if I’m really being honest, it’s not that curious after all. If I was looking to garner control over a large populous I would absolutely go for those that teach freedom of mind, body, and spirit.

And if people are locked into lower-chakra fear, they won’t have the energy to ask questions, and the subconscious mind (which requires frequent cleaning through yogic + meditative tech), will happily settle into its well-worn track of bad habits and inability to change.

You may not be aware that the particular yogic lineage that I practice - kundalini yoga - has a secret, Royal provenance.

Meaning it was passed among the super elite royal class for thousands of years because they held the teachings - so they held the control. It was secret because If it got out, well then the lower classes would be ignited to question, to change, to create a more free and prosperous life. That’s a real problem for the super elite, isn’t it?

When these teachings came to the West, it was like a gold mine of self-sovereignty, prosperity, and activation was released on the planet. That chain reaction of consciousness shifting has continued, and I was blessed and blasted with it in 2016 when I first discovered the practice.

In one of those early classes I once had a teacher tell me: if you’ve found this path, you’ve earned it. You have spent lifetimes - thousands of them - proving your worth to understand and then capitalize on the immense gift given here.

Wow. What?

I remember thinking. And then moments later I had tears in my eyes.

A strange experience when your emotions get there before your mind.

Yes, I realized.

I had found these teachings.

Yes, I realized.

I was home.

So amidst this time of great transformation, I am remembering and honoring the golden chain of my teachers, and I invite you to do the same.
