Magnificent Monday | Episode 16
The new, old-school bakery in D.C. that everyone's talking about, a postcard set to remember the Women's March(es), a mantra to hypnotize you into your own greatness, a saffron rice recipe for the books and more to make your week magnificent.
I cannot get enough of this magical bakery. While it's enormously out of my way, the space is light-filled and modern-yet-cozy, the chai (pictured above) is honestly not from this world, and the bread. Oh, the bread. It's made with old-school methods of slow ferments and whole grains milled in house.
This "eka mai" mantra was just released by White Sun II. Not only is the sound hypnotizing, it activates one's authentic power as a woman through the sound and recitation. I've been chanting it daily for a few weeks now and can already feel a massive shift. Also a great one to sleep to, if that's your thing.
Oh this dish. An oldie but such a goodie for a vegetarian forward dinner party or even a wonderful weeknight meal. It takes a bit of pre-planning with pre-cooked ingredients but it is worth it.
My friend Rai is a human being who's heart is pointed toward service. Which is exactly why she's so gifted and talented. Her women's march anniversary postcards are moving and rallying. They're also almost sold out. Get your copy and all proceeds go to helping victims of domestic violence.
I just want everything this woman makes.
Super excited to be on the panel for this D.C. food event next week.
Last but not least, may this quote by Ram Das provide comfort and ease as you kick off into the week
