Summer Cherry Smoothie
It's summer time and all of a sudden it's like a switch flips - my usually cravings of warm, healing bowls of steamed or sautéed things is completely shifted to more raw and cooling foods.
Like so many wonderful things in life, this smoothie was an intuitive experiment gone right. A happy accident. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups milk of choice (I used homemade, sprouted brazil nut, but almond, hemp, etc. is great!)
- 1/2 cup pitted cherries
- 1/2 a banana
- Pinch of cinnamon, cardamom, and sea salt
- 1 1/2 TBSP - pumpkin seeds or nut butter of choice
- 1 1/2 TBSP Cacao Powder
- Optional, touch of maple syrup
Blend, add ice if you like it a bit colder, and enjoy!
