Stop Dimming Your Shine
I know you've heard this Marianne Williamson quote before, or at least parts of it, but I have to share it with you again today. I have to share it because it is the key that will help unlock the greatest healing in yourself, those around you, and the planet. I have to share it because I'm sick of seeing your beautiful light dimmed and dulled by fears and anxieties that are not even your own. I have to share it with you today because I think it can save your life. Not in a desperate life-or-death way, but save your life as in your life-force. That vibrant and energetic glow that is your birthright. Because, to be born is to be chosen. You are here, you were chosen. And now it's time to step into the power of your beautiful light.
Are you ready for the quote now? Ok, here it is:
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
This is the part I want you to really hear and really feel today:
It is my birthright and my duty to shine to my fullest potential.
In the last few weeks alone, I have heard from a number of clients that are just waiting to break out of their shells, hungry to share and shine, and illuminate, but they stop themselves just shy of that expression. They deny themselves the freedom that comes with fully stepping into their power.
Why?
Perhaps it's because past Culture has taught us to be proper, quiet ladies (or gentlemen). Perhaps it's because we know that when we step into our full power we may have to leave behind those that don't understand or respect it. But I suspect it's mostly because we're comfortable with the habits of inadequacy. We don't necessarily like it, but we're used to feeling less-than, it's a well-grooved and well-trodden thought pattern that we don't remember we can free ourselves from.
If you're feeling this way, repeat after me:
Not only am I allowed to shine to my full, beautiful potential, but shining this truth is absolutely essential.
In order to actually shift the consciousness of the planet - what we're all doing here whether you like it or not - we each have to step fully into our superpowers. No, that doesn't mean we're all going to have actual microphones and spotlights around us, but it does mean that each and every one of us is going to have to embrace our particular fingerprint of shining. Everyone has it. Everyone has this gift that only they are here to share and carry out in their unique way. And if you're still reading this with one eyebrow up, I promise, you too have a lingering, latent, shiny self just waiting to break out and help you live a life of much more fulfillment and empowerment.
So what are you waiting for? It's time to turn your wattage up right now and get your shine on. Your light is for your past, present, and future. And the world needs it now.
